Firstborn son of an aristocratic Italian vintner in Calabria, Damon grew up with a silver spoon placed firmly in his mouth. His father made regular trips to Saltburnt, both for business and pleasure, and Damon himself has visited the manor more than once, particularly during his years as a student in Oxford. While he's done a good job of acting like the more grounded Salvatore brother, polite and generous and downright sweet, he's no stranger to scandal in his own right—his brother's divorce hasn't even been finalized, and Damon is already wandering the manor with Stefan's soon-to-be ex-wife on his arm.

The brothers have returned to Saltburnt in the wake of their father's death, Katherine, Tim, and newly-revealed half-sister Roza in tow, to negotiate the division of the family business. Damon is more interested in his familial connections than the business, but what Katherine wants, Katherine will get—and she wants to take everything from Stefan, vineyard and son included.

STEPHEN STRANGE—a family friend who treated him for injuries after his kidnapping, but almost couldn't prevent permanent vision loss. strange refused to be on call for the salvatore family following damon's recovery.

STEVE ROGERS—hired as his bodyguard shortly after the kidnapping. damon provides steve an alibi whenever steve is off somewhere he shouldn't be doing something he shouldn't.

RUPERT GILES—had a brief, forbidden fling during his oxford days. it was never serious between them but it was fun and damon is fond of giles to this day. also fond of giles' daughter buffy and is not ready for her to be an Adult.

KATHERINE SALVATORE—(née Pierce). absolutely stupid in love with and devoted to her. would move mountains for her, or else have threesomes for her. already planning his perfect househusband future with her.

ROZA—dotes on his newly-revealed half-sister to a truly ridiculous degree. very excited to be an older brother to a sibling who actually likes him.

VISION—has terribly sensitive eyes. wears sunglasses at all times outdoors and sometimes indoors. dislikes strangers putting their hands anywhere near his face for any reason.

HAIR—lets his hair retain some of its natural curl rather than styling it into submission.
